Libra & Scorpio Compatibility

Relationship Dynamic

Air and Water process the same event by different routes. Libra reaches for words while Scorpio reaches for the feeling underneath them, which is why each can look evasive to the other before trust is established. What Libra contributes is perspective and a steady supply of ideas; what Scorpio contributes is emotional depth and an instinct for what is really going on. Libra starts things and Scorpio keeps them going, which is one of the more productive divisions of labour in the zodiac, provided Scorpio is consulted before the next plan is announced. The ease is not automatic, but the effort invested comes back with interest.

Strengths of This Pairing

• ✦Libra brings clarity — the knack for putting the problem into words
• ✦Scorpio adds an accurate read on how the other person is actually doing
• ✦Two different vantage points make solutions visible that neither of you reaches alone
• ✦A strength on the Libra side: exceptional diplomatic and social grace
• ✦A strength on the Scorpio side: extraordinary psychological depth and insight

Potential Challenges

• ◈Libra is built to start things and Scorpio to hold a course; agreeing on tempo takes more work here than agreeing on goals
• ◈The bridge between Air and Water has to be built deliberately — it does not appear on its own
• ◈Worth watching on the Libra side: chronic indecision when stakes are high
• ◈Worth watching on the Scorpio side: jealousy and possessiveness in love
• ◈If neither of you says out loud what you need, the common ground never quite forms
